Stereotypical Cowboys!
While watching "Gunsmoke" there were many stereotypes on cowboys! To start off their big hats, belt buckles and boots. They all seemed to own a horse. The typical (stereotypical) cowboy was in a bar/pub every night, getting drunk and of course fighting. Everyone of them most have at least once been in the town's jail for at least one night, and they were always full. The cowboys in Gunsmoke also had a funny way of walking, seemed like they had just gotten off a horse. Also one last thing that might also have been a stereotype was that the walked around with a toothpick one their mouth and carried a gun everywhere they went.

Slaves: Before & After
During and after reconstruction, former slaves were still basically slaves with a little more freedom. Before reconstruction they had no freedom and had to work in plantation for the landowner, and also had to do everything they were told to do, without complaining. But, now after reconstruction they had their daily freedom to be with their families, so basically they were better off after the Civil War. Even though they had their daily freedom they also had to work on farming crops to pay off the land they were given. Former slaves had to give the landowner fifty percent of their crops for land, and then out of their half of crops, they had to feed their family or team and sell the rest, and from the profit made by the sold crops they had to pay the landowner for the farming tools they were supplied with. So either way, before or after the Civil War, they still ended up working for the landowner and had someone in charge of them, but still had more advantages after the reconstruction!

Best Governs-
Thoreau once said, "that government is best which governs least," and I believe he meant that the government that governs the less is the one that is the best for people. Nobody likes a government that is behind them all day and night, telling them what to do, how to do it, or when to do it. Yes, I understand that's what a government is for, but it should give people its freedom and space, and come in action when needed or things get out of hand. The government should let the people decide and do what they need (with limitation/but not so much), and then probably the people will choose it as the best.
Stereotypes
Stereotypes are known all throughout our society. Many know about them because people judge people by where they are and nothing else. For example, when people find out someones race, ethnicity, or religion they will judge, not to one specific person but as of a general view. Views that may have occurred years ago. Stereotypes are so widely known by the way that it is spread so quickly within our society. As days go on stereotypes become more known to people, especially teenagers which might end up in a bad situation because of them.
